Napier Brownie House provides wonderful residential accommodation minutes from the shores of Loch Lomond. It is set within the Glasgow Girlguiding Campsite with stunning views up to Ben Lomond and beyond in Scotland.
Comfortable self-catering accommodation is available for up to 24 people. The accommodation comprises one large dormitory (18 bunk beds) and two smaller rooms, one with 4 single beds and the other with 2 single beds.
The house is fully accessible for wheelchair users. It has an individual toilet and shower which is suitable for wheelchair users and a communal wash room with 2 toilets, 2 showers and 3 wash hand basins. Shower/Toilet Chair is available to assist with personal hygiene for individuals with additional needs.
There is a large, well equipped kitchen with ample storage space, cooker and fridge-freezer. The house is equipped with crockery, cutlery, storage boxes and cooking equipment for 24 people.
The large living/dining room has folding tables, chairs and plenty of space for activities.
Things to RememberDish cloths, pan scrubbers, tea towels, dusters, first aid kits, washing up liquid and all cleaning materials should be brought. All the beds have continental quilts and pillows. However, 2 sheets or a sleeping bag and a pillow case are also required.
When is the House available for booking?Napier House is available all year round - week days and weekends.
Check-in and Check-out Procedures
Check-in information will be provided by the Booking Secretary. Check-out is completed by the duty Guider who will arrive on site at the finish time specified in the booking.
Who can use Napier House?
Although Napier House is primarily run for the use of Girlguiding members the house may be open to other recognized youth organisations.
What will it cost?
The Charge for Napier house is £80 a night for Girlguiding Glasgow and £90 for all others.
